Barbizon Lighting Company’s Alexandria, VA office is seeking a dedicated and proactive Sales Assistant to join our Products and Expendables group full-time. The Products and Expendables division specializes in furnishing top-tier equipment, expendables, and accessories to a diverse clientele, including feature films, professional theatres, broadcast facilities, educational institutions, universities, themed environments, and various other venues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Efficiently manage the processing of quotes and orders for Sales Associates’ client accounts.
  • Demonstrate an unwavering commitment to exceptional customer service.
  • Serve as a bridge for seamless internal and external communication.
  • Provide expert assistance to clients both in our showroom and via telephone.
  • Accurate entry of quotes and meticulous order processing.
  • Contribute to order fulfillment and proficiently manage customer expectations.
  • Undertake any additional responsibilities as assigned.

Required Qualifications Include:

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills enabling effective collaboration.
  • Proficiency in verbal and written communication of the highest caliber.
  • Demonstrated excellence in time management and adept handling of concurrent priorities.
  • Strong foundational computer skills, encompassing Microsoft Office suite.
  • A film, theatre, or broadcast background would be a valuable asset.
  • Prior sales experience, spanning 3-5 years, would be a distinct advantage.

The salary range for a Sales Assistant at Barbizon Lighting’s Alexandria, VA location is currently $45K to $55K per annum, depending upon experience. Please be aware extensive industry experience or specific skills that fully match or exceed what is required may, in fact, also increase this range to compensate for that expanded expertise.
